  • Passive Aggressiveness

"Being angry with someone and not telling them about it is like poisoning yourself and thinking it will affect them."

I read that off a xanga page one time, a quote from someone's mother about being passive aggressive...such words of wisdom.  I can't begin to tell you how many people I know who get all riled up about what someone did or said and yet they don't want to do anything to resolve it.  The funny thing is that when I tell people that they should just tell the person they're directing so much silent angst to... they get all quiet and say, its not a big deal.  Or they say its not going to change anything, anyway.  Or some excuse.  Yet they still get all upset.  To me its either you approach the person in a nice way... or you let it go.  So simpo!

  • Credit Card

Wow... I've finally paid off my CC debt.  Finally!!  Well...almost....there's a $35 balance but I'm just waiting for my payment to be applied.  Whooooohoooooooooooooo.  I think its been about about 7 years since I've had a zero credit card balance.  Yea...

So how does a person who just paid off all their CC debt feel?  Why, they feel an almost insane urge to purchase something.  That's right... INSANE.  For instance, I've been browsing thru www.buy.com and www.overstock.com to get a TV...for my room.  Not even my living room, just my bedroom.  I'm not even in my apt that much.  I don't even watch that much TV!  I just think it'd be cool to have a TV in my room so I can watch TV without getting up from bed.  Other insane urges include the desire to purchase a laptop.  Mind you, my workstation sits about 7 feet from my bed and all I do is xanga/email/aim on it.  However, if I get a laptop then I can do all that from my bed.... while I watch TV.  Hahahhahahahahahahahah.

OK...must breathe and apply semi logical financial restraint.

  • Motorcycles

I know how its all cool and badboy to have a motorcycle...but honestly, I would NEVER get one.  I'd spend that money on spinning rims before spending it on a bike.

But Win says I belong in a biker gang, Omay is the leader....its spring and the photochops are back....hahahahah

  • When I look back on the last eight years of my professional life, I realize that I probalby applied like 15% of what I learned in college to my job.  And its only that high because I used Excel all the time at school...otherwise the amount of knowledge I accumulated and then applied to work would be closer to 5%.

Of course in the real world, the school on your degree does open up doors of opportunity you might not have access to but it boggles my mind sometimes when I think that my applied education could have cost as little as three or four Microsoft office workshops and maybe a couple of networking opportunities.

  • Sore

Finished up our first weekend of dragon boat practices!  It's been the first time in six months so I'm a bit sore today.  I feel bad for some of the newbies, especially for this guy cuz it was his first day but he was the only new paddler on the boat.  He had it a bit rough.

I think the most sore I've ever been was in college when I foolishly did a military style abs workout with a friend who just got out of the service.  You never realize how much you use your abs until you feel every muscle fiber screaming in agony everytime you do something.  Like getting out of bed requires a short situp....which I could barely do.  Things like stretching and laughing hurt.  I sneezed once...the violent ab contraction from sneezing made me want to cry...hahahahha.

I remember a friend who went all out against a bunch of football players in HS doing a leg workout.  He was holding his own against them and he left feeling pretty good.  Went home, had dinner, knocked out.  The next day he woke up, sat up, stretched, turned over to get out of bed and fell right to the floor.  His body from the waist down just didn't respond.  Picture Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump.  Hhahahhahah

So what's the most sore you've ever been?
