Jr. Knitwear Designer
Reports to: Aileen Dresner
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for collaborating in the development and design of the Lafayette 148 knit line. Responsibilities will include:
· Collaborates in the of development of concepts and sketches of knit line
· Contributes toward concept/design ideas for knits and cut & sew; follows up and executes on those ideas
· Follows up on design details with daily communications to Chinese factory and Italian office
· Involved in knit development charts including maintaining records of information/samples for initial design package
· Willing and available for potential travel to China and Italy (~ 2 weeks duration)
Requirements:
· 3-5 years of knitwear design experience
· 4 year fashion design degree
· Good knowledge of the fabric, yarn and trim market
· Familiar with line development timelines
· Basic fit skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Competent computer skills
· Highly motivated
· Strong work ethic
· Excellent follow up

Design Assistant
Reports to: Daniel Figueroa
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for assisting the Design team in the development and design of the Lafayette 148 line. Responsibilities will include:
· Assist in the process of putting Design Director’s ideas into work
· Source specific trim requests and apply to specified garments
· Create swatched fabric charts
· Assist Design Director with personal errands/organization
· Assisting with issuing cut tickets
· Research & develop ideas
· Updating body boards and master body charts
· Work with Design team to maintain showroom organization
· Responsible for garment organization
· Responsible for sourcing trim ideas for development
· Create and maintain trim catalogue
· Update Pattern Boards with finalized trim information
· Work with local suppliers for trim samples
· Work with P.R. to put together “looks” for photo shoots/fashion shows
· Assist in various aspects of line sheet development
Requirements
· 1 - 2 years relevant design experience desired
· 4 year design degree
· Strong organizational skills
· Competent Microsoft office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills
· Pro-active

Sales Assistant
Reports to: Meg Agnew
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for assisting the Sales Director in the daily handling of accounts. Responsibilities will include:
· Monitor and track orders
· Daily communication with the buying teams
· Assist in showroom sales presentations
· Assist in product knowledge seminars/trunk shows in the stores
· Prepare and update specific charts & reports
· Responsible for garment sample inventory - keeping track of samples for meetings and storage of samples
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Marketing degree preferred
· 1 - 3 years retail or apparel industry exp. preferred

Accounts Payable Assistant
Reports to: Bili Chan
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Accounting Managers the Accounts Payable Assistant has responsibility for the following Accounting tasks:
· Review and process vendor invoices by verifying accuracy of documentation and balances, compiling data and preparing appropriate forms and reports
· Check all invoices for correct and appropriate approval, prepare general ledger posting codes, issue checks
· Respond to vendor requests for account information
· Pull information from accounting system and create reports
· Reconcile monthly purchases and analyze G/L expense account
· Assist in preparing monthly reports and schedules
· Assist A/R with collections
Requirements
· 4 year Accounting degree
· 2+ years A/P experience
· Attention to detail
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlooks
